Motorola owned by the Chinese giant Lenovo hits the market with its latest variant called the Moto E3, the third-generation Android smartphone in the Moto E series. Moto E First Generation was launched in the year 2014 and witnessed very high demands similar to Moto G. India was one of the first countries where the phone was released. On February 2015, the Moto E Second Generation was launched and was available in 40 countries. Moto E Second generation has a 1GB RAM, storage capacity of 8GB which is expandable up to 32GB. Here, we would be looking at all the features of the new Moto E3 Android smartphone.

Display screen and design

Moto E3 has a plastic back and consists of two front speakers which are located at the top and bottom portion of the screen. Moto E3 boasts of a 5-inch IPS LCD display with HD resolution. Low RAM is a drawback associated with the device because a 1GB RAM has certainly not much to offer for the user. The operating system used by Moto E3 is Android 6.0 Marshmallow which provides the latest Android experience to the user. Operating systems used in Moto E first and second generation are 4.4 KitKat and 5.0.2 Lollipop respectively.

Moto E3 is powered by a Lithium-ion 2,800 mAh battery with enough backup to last throughout the day with moderate use. The battery is replaceable. Moto E3 is not equipped with a fingerprint sensor, but consists of other sensors such as a proximity sensor, light sensor and accelerometer.

Moto E3 has a 30% faster CPU than Moto E3 Power. This enables smoother functioning of Moto E3. However, Moto E3 Power has 100% more RAM than Moto E3. Consequently, more applications can run at the same on Moto E3 Power as compared to Moto E3, thus making it a faster device.

Moto G4 enables 1920 X 1080p HD video recording while it is 1280 X 720p for Moto E3. The in-inbuilt storage of Moto G4 is 16GB which is more than 8GB internal storage of Moto E3. The system memory of Moto G4 is 2GB RAM while it is 1GB for Moto E3. Battery powers of both the devices are of the same value.
